Demo Day: Harvesting straw and chaff
A demo day was held on the 31st of August to demonstrate the combined harvest of straw and chaff. The demonstration was held on a farm north of Uppsala in Sweden that is also hosting the harvesting and storage trials performed within the AGROinLOG project. Approximately 30 people attended the day which included short presentations of the research done in the AGROinLOG project, of Lantmännen and its ethanol production and machinery sales and of the company Rekordverken manufacturing equipment for straw chopping and chaff collection. Furthermore CREA gave an overview of their research activities on energy crops. After the presentations the new Fendt combine harvester with the equipment for chaff collection was shown.
