Last 26th February 2018, CIRCE and CREA presented the AGROinLOG project inside a session from the European Forage Association (EFA). The event took place in the framework of the International Fair for Agriculture Machinery celebrated in Zaragoza (Spain). This year the fair was celebrating its 40th edition, offering data records which reflect that it has become one of the main events of the agricultural sector. Along the four days event, the fair gathered more than 227.000 visitors and 1.300 exhibitors from all the planet.
During the workshop in which AGROinLOG took part, Eva López from CIRCE presented the new trends in Europe on bio-economy relying on agriculture sub-products. In addition, she introduced the AGROinLOG concept as a new opportunity for the forage dehydration industries, in order to diversify their business line. Following, Simone Bergonzoli from the project partner CREA, explained the results from the harvesting tests carried out by the project and the new technology available to harvest sub-products, such as maize cobs or cereal chaff.
