Open days at Agrinio (Western Greece) and Leivadia (Central Greece)

Two open days were hold on the 12th and 21st of March in Agrinio and Leivadia, Greece respectively by INASO-PASEGES and CERTH with the collaboration of the local agricultural cooperatives. The main topic of the show cases was the mechanized collection of kiwi and olive tree prunings. In both cases the FACMA harvester was used for the demonstration. Approximately 40 people attended these show cases among which farmers, journalists and stakeholders of the agricultural sector.

Both activities were jointly organized by AGROinLOG (as open days) and uP_running (as demo activities) projects. uP_running is a H2020 project that aims to unlock the European potential of woody biomass residues, obtained from vineyards, olive groves and fruit tree plantations, produced by Agrarian Pruning and Plantation Removals (APPR) and to promote its sustainable use as energy feedstock.
Following, two videos of the demonstrations that were carried out during the open days.
